FOR A HELICOPTER TOUR OF A LIFETIME..
take a spectacular sightseeing tour by heli above the top of Volcano Etna..(or a grand 2 hour tour of all nearby volcanoes including Panarea) - indimenticabile!
BEST HIKE OF ALL TIME...
is a hike up to Mount Etna! Start by cable car, then by foot with your personal volcano guide..
VISIT A TINY ISLAND..
swim or walk to this tiny island, Isola Bella, at the Bay of Taormina and immerse yourself surrounded by a beautiful white pebble beach. Must do! (and where you will find us most days!)
WATCH AN OPERA..
in teatro antico, an ancient greco-roman amphitheatre, & then walk directly across to Hotel Timeo for "Pasta alla Norma per due" with a view..
WALK OFF ALL THE PASTA..
and WALK up to Taormina town from the beach..30 minutes or more for the fittest..or longer if you stop for photos amongst all the beautiful scenery along the way.
PRONOUNCE FU-NI-VIA!
If you stay near the beach, the Funivia might end up being your best friend as it's the easiest, most cost efficient (and probably the most incredible) cable car lift with a view you will ever experience - which connects with Taormina center.
TRY A SICILIAN PIZZA
at our "pizzeria preferita'' with a view, Gianduca, (located upstairs above their main restaurant) and great for the bambini as well!
POST DINNER COCKTAILS "IN CENTRO"..
is best consumed al fresco at the Sicilian-chic Morgana bar.. Cin-Cin!
CANNOLI, CASSATINA, CASATELLE..
Frutta Martorana, Ericine, Torta di Pistacchio, Pasticcine di Mandorle, Brioche con Gelato, Gelo d'anguria, Granita di Caffé..just go to any Sicilian bakery for any of these "dolci" of your choosing..
TAORMINA DREAMING..
for the ultimate Taormin-ese selfie..take a 10 minute taxi drive to Castelmola.. located in a small village situated at a height of 550m overlooking the entire Taormina..
MANGIA MANGIA..
Where do movie stars like Michael Douglas, & sicilian soccer stars eat in Taormina? At the rustic "La Botte" of course, where all the celebs' photos are lined up next to homemade Sicilian specialties..Buon Appetito!

In Italy, the history of gelato traces back to the 9th century with the first appearances traced in Sicily. Try the fun filled local flavors like Cassata, Etna, Avola almond, Bronte pistacchio or Modica chocolate... mmm buonissimo! Our favorite gelateria is "Gelatomania" on Corso Umberto.
